Flower Escamilla- Practice Manager

Flower joined the health care team in 2015. She started in the veterinary field at a very young age and became the manager of a hospital before she was 20. Returning to school for music education, she decided to only work part-time as a veterinary assistant. That was until March 2014 when she accepted the role as practice manager at Forney Animal Hospital. Within a year she took on management roles at both Buckner Animal Clinic and it's sister clinic in Forney. On weekends, she spends her time with her family, reading, fishing and handles in the conformation and obedience rings. Flower feels more than blessed to have such a wonderful health care team and understands that it is a rare luxury and blessing to enjoy going to work every morning. Thanks to the great clients, wonderful patients and exceptional health care team, Flower feels honored to lead such a powerful veterinary hospital.

Lacee Pearson - Veterinary Technician

My name is Lacee Pearson and I've been a veterinary technician for over 15 years. I have worked here at Buckner Animal Clinic for approximately 3 years and I enjoy my job as a Vet Tech. As a young child I always had a love for animals and hoped that one day I would get the chance to work with them. Well my dream came true and here I am today doing what I've always loved, working with animals. As a technician my primary job is caring for hospitalized patients, performing in house diagnostic testing, radiology procedures, and sometimes preparing patients for surgery. I also work with clients helping them understand how to properly care for their pets with vaccinations, diets, heartworm prevention and maintaining their over-all health. Someone once told me," It's better to prevent than to treat", and I feel that it stands true for man and animals. Well, now I'll tell you a little about myself. I have been a resident of the area for over 36 years. I graduated from West Mesquite High School in 1984. I have 4 brothers and 1 sister. Believe it or not, we actually get along very well - no sibling rivalry! Some of my favorite things to do are spending time with my family, reading, camping, fishing, sports and horseback riding when time permits. I have an array of animals - 2 dogs, 4 cats, 1 rabbit and 1 horse. So, you could say that I have a full house.

Albert Lopez - Veterinary Technician

I graduated from Skyline High School in the spring of 1997. I earned an Associate Degree in Applied Science at Mountain View College, as well as obtained an Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology at Cedar Valley College. I began working for Buckner Animal Clinic in the fall of 2001 while studying at Cedar Valley. I serve the clinic as a skilled certified veterinary technician who is part of a team that provides medical support for our clients needs. Away from the clinic I serve as a volunteer by helping tutor youth for the Trinity River Mission (a volunteer-based community learning center) who encourage academic success to disadvantaged youth in West Dallas. In my spare time I enjoy physical training at the T. Boone Pickens YMCA where I participate in group exercise classes. I also enjoy playing basketball as the team captain of Outkast who is part of the City of Dallas Recreation Program, but most of all I enjoy gatherings of family and friends.

Rennie Reneau - Kennel Technician

Rennie joined Buckner Animal Clinic in the early 1990's. He took a hiatus from the clinic, and rejoined in April 2002. Rennie works very hard to keep the clinic clean and sterile all while keeping our furry friends in the kennel happy.

Anthony Urquhart - Veterinary Technician

Anthony was born and raised in Pine Bluff, Arkansas where he graduated from Watson Chapel High School. He is married to Sheila Urquhart. Between the two of them they have 7 children! Anthony joined Buckner Animal Clinic in 1993. He holds many positions animal caretaker, kennel and veterinary technician , and now his job includes retail sales of pet care products, and diets. Anthony is truly a jack of all trades. He also attends New Beginnings Baptist Church, enjoys sports, and outdoor activities.

Edward  Papendik - Veterinary Technician

I am a certified veterinary assistant. I began working at Buckner Animal Clinic in June 1997. My main responsibilities include total care for the surgical patients including anesthesia, assisting in surgery and recovery. I also perform numerous diagnostic tests, take radiographs, as well as ordering and maintaining our equipment, and inventory of drugs and supplies. While working with Dr. Pruitt, Dr. Nix and Dr. Johnson, I have learned a lot about veterinary medicine, and pet care. Most importantly developed my technical skills, as well as my personal skills.

Elizabeth Perez - Receptionist

I began working for Buckner Animal Clinic in May 2011. I am one of the receptionists. I help provide service to our clients to assist them with their pets needs. I enjoy meeting new people everyday. I am extremely happy to have joined a great team and work for great doctors. The most important aspect of my life is family, my husband, and two children (a boy and a girl). Family time and gatherings with friends.
